New York et le Cinéma

Liste (non exhaustive) de Film de/sur/dans New York

À partir de différentes listes, ainsi que par le biais de notre mémoire, nous avons échafaudé cette liste non-exhaustive de films se passant au moins partiellement à New York, et portant tous un intérêt, sinon purement cinématographique, au moins par le regard qu’ils portent et apportent sur la ville. De King Kong à Gangs of New York, de Midnight Cowboy à Home Alone 2, ces films ont tous une vision différente de New York, affectée par une intention (narrative, politique, historique…), une culture de l’époque, portée par des styles de réalisateur très différents. Ainsi Abel Ferrara, en tournant The King of New York, dresse une peinture plus sombre et malsaine de la Mafia New Yorkaise que Francis Ford Coppola  dans The Godfather, ou  Brian De Palma dans Carlito’s Way, par exemple.

Nous pourrons à l’avenir, choisir un film qui apparait (ou non) dans cette liste, et écrire une ligne ou un article dessus, relevant des éléments particuliers sur leur vision de New York.
